The employees of Buttweiler Environmental are unquestionably our most important
resource. In many organizations this statement is made and becomes hollow and trite
because it is not put into practice. At Buttweiler Environmental, we shall be committed to our employees by living the philosophies listed below and nothing less.
AT BUTTWEILER ENVIRONMENTAL, WE SHALL:
- Strive to treat employees fairly and with respect and dignity, not because it is good for Buttweiler Environmental, but because it is the right and decent thing to do.
- Not discriminate in any manner.
- Seek the best candidate for each position by considering present employees for job openings, searching outside the organization as appropriate when we have job openings, giving jobs to the most qualifi ed and giving jobs to present employees when inside and outside candidates appear equally qualified.
- Tell the truth to our employees and expect the same from them.
- Protect our employees from any kind of abuse.
- Treat employees consistently.
- Be the employer of choice.
- Provide an environment of self improvement (challenges and incentives).
- Do what we say we are going to do.
- Create reasonable, attainable, yet high performance standards and tolerate nothing less.

- Not create jobs for people.
- Demonstrate that every person is part of the team and that we need each other to reach our goals.
- Demonstrate that moving up in the organization is not necessarily the objective; the objective is doing a job well and enjoying it.
- Assist employees in finding the best fitting job here or elsewhere.
- Not guarantee the previous job back to employees who fail after being promoted.
- Involve/require employees to be involved in decision making when
- the subject is appropriate
- the employee has knowledge of the subject
- Promote the mutual training and development of employees for the mutual benefit of the company and the employees.
- Compensation and advancement shall be related to performance.
- Strive to offer a compensation package which is competitive in the labor market.
- Define unacceptable behaviors in our work environment and not tolerate them.
